Kurze BMO-Vereinsgeschichte
Oxford United ist ein Verein aus England.
Der Verein kam in Saison 9 zum BMO-Verband und stieg damals in der zweiten Liga (The Championship) ein. Seitdem spielt er typischen Zweitligaabstiegsfußball (Saisons 9 bis 12, Saison 15) oder Drittliga-Aufstiegsgekicke (Saisons 13, 14, 16)
Größter Vereinserfolg bisher war ein Platz 7 in der zweiten Liga in Saison 10.
Mit 13 Managern in 8 Saisons gab es bislang keine Kontinuität in der Vereinsführung.
Der bekannte Name der Universitätsstadt Oxford zieht viele Manager an, doch einmal an einer möglichweise entscheidenden Wegkreuzung des Vereins wurde die Bekanntheit auch zum Nachteil: der damalige Neuling Manager trimegistos bewarb sich in Saison 9 lieber beim in der Tabelle schlechter stehenden und unbekannteren Verein Leyton Orient als bei Oxford, um sicherer überhaupt einen Job zu bekommen. Möglicherweise wäre heute Oxford United erstklassig statt Leyton Orient.
