Transfers
Die Vizemeisterschaft und das sehr achtbare Abschneiden in der BMO-Champions League ließen bei Joernie keinen Wunsch nach einem neuen Trainer entsehen. Und so verpflichtete Salzburgs Manager auch für die Saison 52 den inzwischen 54-jährigen Deutschen Claus-Dieter Wollitz (10), der schon seit der Saison 48 die Violetten coachte.

Als zweitstärkstes Team war der SV Austria Salzburg B in die Saison 51 gestartet und als Fünftplatzierter geendet. Das war zu wenig, um weiter auf den bisherigen Trainer Armin Störzenhofecker zu vertrauen. Joernie verpflichtet als Nachfolger den 52-jährigen Italiener Sandro Cois (7). Cois hatte zuletzt zehn Jahre lang ununterbrochen die Amateure von A.C.R. Messina betreut. Dabei war ihm immerhin einmal die Meisterschaft der italienischen Amateurliga gelungen (Saison 43). Zuletzt hatte Messina allerdings keine bedeutende Rolle mehr gespielt, in Saison 51 waren die Sizilianer auf einem enttäuschenden 13. Rang gelandet. Für Cois war der Wechsel nach Österreich jedenfalls eine Chance, vielleicht wieder an erfolgreichere Zeiten anzuknüpfen.

Junioren
Als drittbestes Team auf Rang 13 zu enden, das war keine Empfehlung, das Experiment Emmanuel Pogatetz weiter fortzuführen. Joernie nahm als Nachfolger den 44-jährigen Dennis Barisic (3) als Trainer der Nachwuchsmannschaft unter Vertrag. Barisic hatte zuletzt den unterklassigen Holstein Kiel U21 trainiert und dabei durchaus gewisse Erfolge erzielt (Platz 6 in Saison 51). Der Wechsel in die Liga Alpe-Adria zu einem SVAS, dessen Juniorenteam nicht mehr zur Creme de la creme der Liga A zählte, war für den Österreicher trotzdem mehr als eine Rückkehr in die Heimat. Von ihm erwartete Joernie zumindest eine positive Trendwende.
