Die BMO Europa League (bis Saison 40: Europa-Cup) ist nach der BMO Champions League der zweithöchste europäische Wettbewerb des BMO-Universums.
Teilnehmer
An der BMO Europa League dürfen seit der Saison 40 56 Teams teilnehmen.
- Der Titelverteidiger (1)
- Die Pokalsieger der BMO-Länder (13)
- Die Tabellenzweiten der sechs schlechtesten Länder der BMO-3-Jahres-Wertung der Länder (6)
- Die Tabellendritten der zehn schlechtesten Länder der BMO-3-Jahres-Wertung der Länder (10)
- Die Tabellenvierten aller BMO-Länder (13)
- Die Tabellenfünften der zwölf besten Länder der BMO-3-Jahres-Wertung der Länder (12)
- Der Tabellensechste des besten Landes der BMO-3-Jahres-Wertung der Länder (1)
Bis zur Saison 39 bestand der EC aus 64 Teilnehmern.
Bis zur Saison 27 durften auch die Halbfinalisten des UI-Cups am Europa-Cup teilnehmen. Dieser Wettbewerb wurde aber zum Ende der Saison 27 eingestellt.
Modus
Modus von Saison 40 bis Saison 53:
Der EC bzw. die EL wird seit der Saison 40 in folgendem Modus durchgeführt: Vorrunde - Zwischenrunde - Viertelfinale - Halbfinale - Finale. Ab dem Viertelfinale trefen jeweils zwei Klubs im KO-System aufeinander.
Zu Beginn der Vorrunde erhält jedes Team ein Torkonto von 12 Heim- und 12 Auswärtstoren. Zu Beginn der Zwischenrunde erhält jedes dafür qualifzierte Team nochmals 6/6 Tore. Die Erstplatzierten der Zwischenrunde erhalten zu Beginn des Viertelfinales nochmals 4/3, die Zweitplatzierten der Zwischenrunde nochmals 3/3 Tore.
Für Heimspiele gibt es 4 FTCP.
Vorrunde
Es gibt 8 Vorrundengruppen mit je 7 Mannschaften. Jede Mannschaft spielt in Hin- und Rückspielen insgesamt zweimal gegen jede andere Mannschaft in der Gruppe (TAT 1 bis TAT 3). Die drei bestplatzierten Teams qualifizieren sich für die Zwischenrunde.
Bei Punktgleichheit zwischen zwei oder mehreren Mannschaften in einer Gruppe richtet sich die Platzierung nach folgenden Kriterien:
1. Tordifferenz aus allen Spielen
2. Mehr erzielte Tore in allen Spielen
3. Direkter Vergleich
4. Tordifferenz aus den Spielen der punktgleichen Teams
5. Mehr erzielte Tore aus den Spielen der puntgleichen Teams
6. Los.
Zwischenrunde
Es gibt 4 Zwischenrundengruppen mit je 6 Mannschaften. Die Punkte gegen die beiden Mitqualifikanten aus der Vorrunde werden mitgenommen. Somit spielt jede Mannschaft in Hin- und Rückspielen gegen die drei übrigen Gruppengegen, gegen die man noch nicht in der Vorrunde gespielt hat (TAT 6 bis TAT 8). Die Erst- und Zweitplatzierten qualifizieren sich für das Viertelfinale.
Bei Punktgleichheit gelten diesselben Grundsätze wie in der Vorrunde.
KO-Runden
Ab dem Viertelfinale gilt das KO-System; die Paarungen werden ausgelost. Die Erstplatzierten der Zwischenrundengruppen treten dabei zunächst auswärts an. Klubs, die bereits in der Vor- oder Zwischenrunde gegeneinander gespielt haben, können im Viertelfinale nicht aufeinander treffen.
Das Finale findet auf neutralem Platz statt.
Bis zur Saison 39 wurde der EC im reinen KO-System mit 64 Teilnehmern durchgeführt.
Europa-Cup-Sieger

Vereinswertung (Europa-Cup/Europa League)

Die Europa League bzw. der Europa-Cup zeichnen sich durch sehr viele verschiedene Siegermannschaften aus, kein Klub konnte seinen Titel bisher verteidigen. Rekord-Pokalsieger ist Feyenoord Rotterdam, das den Europa-Cup bislang fünfmal gewinnen konnte.

Die BMO Europa League bzw. den Europacup dominieren vor allem Mannschaften aus dem Länderverbund Benelux und aus Deutschland. Nur Schottland hatte noch nie einen Klub, der die Europa League bzw. den EC gewann.
