La Liga Iberia ist die höchste Spielklasse des zur Saison 51 neu gegründeten Länderverbunds Iberia-Liga. Vorgängerligen waren die Primeira Liga Portugals und die Primera Division Spaniens.
Jedes der 20 Teams der Liga tritt in Hin- und Rückspielen gegen jeden anderen Verein der La Liga Iberia an. Die Mannschaft mit den meisten Punkten aus allen Spielen wird Iberia-Meister.
Aus der La Liga Iberia steigen die letzten drei Mannschaften in die La Liga Iberia 2, die zweithöchste Spielklasse, ab.
