Der Lierse SK (niederländisch Koninklijke Lierse Sportkring) ist ein belgischer Fußballverein aus Lier. Der Verein wurde 1906 gegründet. Die Fans werden, wie auch die Einwohner der Stadt Lier, als "Schapenkoppen" (Schafsköpfe) bezeichnet.
Lier ist eine Stadt in der belgischen Provinz Antwerpen, zehn Kilometer südöstlich der gleichnamigen Provinzhauptstadt, und gehört zur Region Flandern. Die Stadt hat 36.000 Einwohner; sie liegt am Fluss Nete; in Lier fließen große und kleine Nete zusammen. Die Bezeichnung "Schapenkoppen" kommt daher, weil sich Lier im 15. Jahrhundert für einen Viehmarkt samt Schafschlachterei entschied, statt für eine Universität. Heute gibt es in Lier viele kleinere Industrie- und Handelsbetriebe.
